The one and only Kanati

Kanati had been my friend and neighbor for almost ten years.  I was privileged enough to spend dozens of days in the field with him hunting turkeys. He taught me so much about calls, how birds behave, and just how much fun it can be to hunt turkeys. The best part of hunting with Vic was listening to his stories. There were dozens that I could hear over and over again and never get sick of.

Vic was a true artist and a great friend. There were times, when he would seem to be in another world....and he usually was. He was always tweeking his calls to make them the best. That is what I most liked about Vic, he was never satisfied and was always striving to do better and be the best......and in my book, he was!
