I was privileged to know Vic for a very short time before he began his fight. My lasting impression will always be his infectious smile.

I met Vic in 1998 and a lasting respect and friendship ensued. He was always so pleasant, soft spoken and had a kind nature that always made you feel better after talking to him. Our multi-faceted conversations ran the gamut from turkey calls to hunting to music, travel, wine, food, cooking, parenting, surfing, art and history. It was always a spirited dialogue! I am privileged to own quite a few of his amazing creations for our shared passion of turkey hunting. His calls were always creative and a bit off the norm, which made them all the more special. My prayers of comfort go out to Naomi and Gabe in their time of mourning and the promise that if they need me, all that is needed is a call. May God bless and keep the Deibel family close.
